Stop Motion Photography

Students are researching, learning, and presenting on a Living System. Students have many toolsat their disposal to research their topic;  Zygote Body interactive, BrainPop, FOSS Science (our science curriculum) a Symbaloo created by Karen Moulton, and books from the library to name a few.

They took their notes and created a plan on how to teach others their system. Their group created a script and the objects that they would need to tell their story. They drew their system, cut out pieces that represent blood, carbon dioxide or oxygen or whatever other items move through their system, and then magnetized the objects.

A quick mini lesson on digital cameras and tripods and they were off. They taped their body to the magnetic white board and then attached their objects. The children took turns moving the object through the system while another team mate took the pictures. After the movement sequence was complete they downloaded their images to a share folder.

Next session we will record their narrations and hopefully sequence the images with the audio.
