Green Screen Scene from The Suite Life on Deck

Thank you Catherine for letting me know about the episode, Seven Seas News, from The Suite Life on Deck TV show. I have snipped the episode to the clips that are relevant to green screens and which copyright allows me to do for educational purposes.

Just Bag It!

[caption id="attachment_3339" align="alignright" width="300" caption="Image taken by Mrs. Gorneau"][/caption]

Today I decided to do something different with my breakfast. Every morning I stop at my local Dan bing (蛋餅) stall and buy their yummy breakfast of egg, bacon, and cheese in a crepe.  Every day they put it in a box, close it with an elastic, and then put it in a bag, ...today I brought my own sealable container that I can wash and reuse.

How are you helping to save the planet?

EPA's environmental tip: Just bag it! Help protect the environment when you shop. Keep reusable bags on your car seat or near your door so they are easy to grab when you go. And you can even combine shopping bags - just tell the cashier that you don't need a bag, then put all your purchases together in one bag… just be sure to hang on to your receipts!

Green Screen + Chroma Key

"A green screen is a large green sheet that goes on the wall. When a person films a video in front of a green screen, they put it in an editing software with chroma key. Chroma key is the removal of a single color, therefore when chroma key is activated, the green gets removed.... That's why you can not wear green against a green screen, because if you wore a green shirt for example, it would be invisible and you would see the background you inserted instead of your shirt. Basically you can do "green screening" with any color, but green and blue are the furthest away from your skin color. That's so your skin isn't invisible If you did a white/black screen, there's a good chance your skin would be invisible That is why they use green." (taken from Wiki.Answers website)

"The best example of green screen from everyday life is the weather person on the evening news. He/She stands in front of a green wall. A computer can tune into the green color and replace every green pixel with a pixel from another image. Of course, if the weather guy happens to wear something green, the computer will perform its magic there too, creating a hole in the person, as you can see here:" (taken from HowStuffWorks blog)
